Manager

Kylee, who manages the daily operations of Harbak Horse Haven, is your first contact.
Kylee started riding horses at the age of six and was a member of the Tweeds Heads Pony Club for five years. 
She participated in all the club days and competed in the Gymkhana circuit during that time. Riding lessons included dressage, flat work, jumping & sporting.

Kylee has owned and rode a number of horses, Alysium Troy, Alysium Rainbow, Cinnamon & Harry.

After High School, she attended Burdekin Agricultural College and completed an Advanced Certificate in Tropical Agriculture of which part of the course included working at the Claredale Horse Stud.

At Claredale the course included the study of breeding programs, riding skills, Horses health, Horse confirmations/muscular setup, hoof care, stable & equipment maintenance, care of mares & foals, stallion management, feeding & nutrition.

 

Kylee has also worked for a Racehorse Stud as a Strapper/Stablehand.

 

Her duties included cleaning of the stables, feeding 15-20 horses at work, paddock rotation of horses, swimming of horses in work, going to the Gold Coast racetrack daily for track work.

 

On race days she would be the Strapper and would handle the horses in the ring prior and after each race.

 

Kylee has a love of animals and has also worked for a large dairy farm & Koala farm and is a great asset to Harbak Horse Haven.
